Epson Introduces Affordable, High-quality Scanners

 

Epson America (Long Beach, CA) is marketing a high-quality flatbed scanner that’s designed for photo enthusiasts and advanced amateur photographers. The new Perfection V300 Photo scanner features a 4800 dpi optical resolution. The 48-bit scanner has a dynamic range of 3.2 and the company’s energy-efficient ReadyScan LED technology for fast scan speeds with no warm-ups. The 13 x 19-inch scanner includes a builtin transparency unit and ships with Epson Scan software with Easy Photo Fix for automatic color restoration of faded photos, dust removal and grain reduction. It also ships with ArcSoft MediaImpression and ABBYY Fine Reader Sprint Plus OCR. It supports Windows XP/Vista and Macintosh OS X 10.3.9-10.5.x.
