Nikon’s D90 DSLR Camera Features New 18–105mm VR Lens
Nikon, Inc. (Melville, NY) is marketing a new DSLR camera
that takes high-resolution still images as
well as 24fps High Definition (720 pixel)
movie clips with sound. The new Nikon
D90 DSLR camera features the company’s
advanced Scene Recognition System and
Face Detection, a 12.3 effective megapixel
CMOS sensor, EXPEED image processing
system, and 3-inch 920,000-dot high-resolution
LCD screen. It supports ISOs up
to ISO 6400. The D90 has an 11-point
autofocus (AF) system, shutter speeds to
1/4000 of a second and built-in flash. It supports
a burst rate of 4.5fps and ships with
the new F-S NIKKOR 18–105mm Vibration
Reduction (VR) image-stabilization
lens. The body-only D90 has an MSRP of
$999.95. It lists for $1299.95 with the new
18–105mm lens.
