Eventpix.com Partners With Bride’s Magazine
Eventpix.com, the imaging industry’s premier online event and proofing service, recently partnered with Bride’s magazine to sponsor two days of total bridal indulgence on Chicago’s Miracle Mile on June 11–12. The show drew more than 500 brides, showcasing the wedding industry’s fashion and food experts, planning and décor consultants and high-end wedding photographers. The two-day event featured seminars, celebrity panelists and menu tastings up and down Michigan Avenue. Also included was a bridal fashion show at the legendary Marshall Fields on Michigan Avenue, followed by a closing party, where Eventpix-sponsored photographer Ellie Vayo set up a mini portrait area for each bride to receive a complimentary 5x7 engagement photo. In addition, the brides received a complementary engagement photo taken by Christopher Dimock.

The brides can now access, view, and order their images at Eventpix.com, where proprietary patent-pending EPX Express software allows event photographers to instantly upload images. Event customers can then customize and order easily online. Eventpix works with over 20 major imaging labs, plus key industry partners like Fuji and Art Leather to provide high-quality support for member photographers and their clients. “Issues and Icons: Photography by Adam J. Nehr III”
The International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum is proud to present the debut exhibition of “Issues and Icons by Adam J. Nehr.” This exhibition features 40 images, each depicting an issue or icon, old and new, that shapes our society and sometimes sparks much debate. Nehr has spent years planning and organizing the exhibition with each photograph representing hours in his studio or on location. “The images are multi-layered, controversial and sometimes upsetting to the viewer. The purpose is not to preach, but to instill a desire for discourse with those of opposing views,” says Nehr. Religion, politics, race issues and sexual orientation are a few topics presented through his portraits and still lifes. Nehr has been a professional and fine art photographer for more than 35 years. He says, “Some images reflect certain circumstances that, when known, enhance the power of the image.” You can learn more about Adam J. Nehr and see images in this exhibition by visiting www.issuesandicons.com/. For exhibition information, visit www.iphf.org/.

Westcott Master’s Brush
Westcott has recently made an exciting new addition to its line of Soft Box Light Modifiers by introducing the new Master’s Brush, which provides the ultimate in directional control by allowing more defined shadowing, which enhances depth and adds contour. Westcott worked directly on the design with Master Photographer Ken Cook, who said, “The Master’s Brush is specifically designed to provide a self-feathering light source in a portable 16x22-inch softbox.”

Cook went on to say, “The specially designed multilayer front panel along with the barn door and internal baffle creates a two f-stop differential between the center or the heart of the light and the outer edges. This allows us to achieve the lighting patterns created by the old Masters of Photography using split, broad and short lighting, including all the variations of Rembrandt and Butterfly Lighting.” Info: www.fjwestcott.com/.
