Last year's WPPI Convention and Trade Show was a huge success, measured both by the number of attendees as well as the non-stop activity of the trade show. Before the last year's show, the nice folks at GraphiStudio came to us and asked if we would be interested in a "day in the life" type look at WPPI 2005 through the eyes of four award-winning photographers. We, of course said "Yes," and the resulting GraphiStudio album is fantastic. Pictured here are a number of the pages taken from that book, which will be at this year's WPPI.

Joe Buissink’s unique style has its roots in fine art and land-
scape photography. Now making his career in wedding photog-
raphy, his work garners international awards and media attention. Buissink, a Dutch native and current Los Angeles resident, is a regular contributor to InStyle magazine. His work also appears in People, American Photo, Gourmet, the L.A. Times, L.A. Weekly and Los Angeles magazine. Buissink’s singular approach to shooting has won him wide acclaim. Numerous publications have praised his style. The Wall Street Journal observed, “In Los Angeles, photog-
rapher Joe Buissink, who photographed the weddings of celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz’s sister and cousin, works entirely with 35mm cameras, producing images that defy tradition.” On the Web: www.joebuissink.com
Jensen Sutta finished his photography degree at Brooks Institute, started his own photography business, and had two in-
credible internships, all in a three-year period. His internships were with world-renowned wedding photographers Andy Marcus and Joe Buissink. Jensen says those experiences helped him immensely in becoming the photographer he is today. He has now expanded from his specialty of weddings into family portraits and corporate events, such as car conventions, film festivals and political fund-rais-
ing events. When asked to give some advice to students going into photography, Jensen said, “I would strongly encourage an internship, and recommend following your passion and having the persistence to stop at nothing!”

GraphiStudio, founded by Tullio Tramontina in in Maniago, Italy, started as a boutique advertising agency for small- to me-
dium-sized companies in Italy. In 1987, GraphiStudio entered the wedding arena, creating beautiful wedding books for Italian brides with a unique flair. They airbrushed photographs of the bride and groom and decorated the pages of the wedding book with graph-
ics to enhance its overall look. In 1994 Tramontina established a separate company called RGB to work with large publishing houses, and in the early 1990s the company incorporated changes in graph-
ics and printing technology into its wedding books, including a unique binding system that would allow a book to open flat with an uninterrupted panoramic view on every page of the book. In 1997 GraphiStudio introduced the Wedding Book, which was quickly embraced by over 1200 photographers in Italy and became the new standard for wedding photography in Europe. After two years of testing, GraphiStudio launched the Wedding Book successfully in the U.S. On the Web: www.graphistudio.com/, (866) 472-7445
