There are a number of new items in Photoshop CS2. One that was available previously in Camera Raw was adjusting for vignetting. I have an image shot on Kodachrome 64 with a Nikon 500mm catadioptric lens. I was never able to get a satisfactory print due to corner vignetting.

However, the new CS2 has the ability to correct (or add) vignetting. It is under Filters > Distort > Lens Correction. There are other great things about CS2, but this was of most interest to us.

I too have many images taken both with the 500mm and 1000mm Nikon cats. All of these images are vignetted at the corners. The ability to correct them so effortlessly is great and one of the best features of CS2 and Camera Raw.

I downloaded the trial version of iView Media Pro from the Internet. I tried to follow your advice in sorting my files coming from different cameras, however I cannot find the portion you mentioned about the date and time. Are there any good guidebooks out there for this program? I went to their website for support and did not see anything. I even emailed them.

I am sending you a link that comes from the iView Media Pro website on Batch Rename, the function that allows you to sort and rename your files with almost infinite variety and flexibility. The link is: www.iview-multimedia.com/bin/manuals/ivmp3_rename_raw.pdf. The PDF shows you how the Batch Rename function works in iView Media Pro 3, but it is also applicable to prior versions of the software. Follow the directions in the PDF as if it were a tutorial, and you will get it fairly quickly.
