New SanDisk SDHC Cards Use UHS-I Technology

March 01, 2011 — SanDisk (Milpitas, CA, www.sandisk.com) is marketing the SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-I cards, featuring Ultra High Speed (UHS) technology derived from the newly released SD 3.0 specification. The new cards also use SanDisk’s proprietary Power Core Controller while adhering to the new UHS Speed Class 1 video class rating. That guarantees a minimum sustained write speed of 10MB/sec, which is sufficient for recording HD 1080p videos or even 3D content. Maximum read and write speeds: 45MB/sec. SanDisk SDHC UHS-I memory cards are available in sizes ranging from 8GB to 32GB, with suggested retail prices from $109.99 to $349.99.
