• Marathon Press Introduces Directory
Printing Program
Marathon Press recently introduced a new program in support of professional
photographers looking to capitalize on organizational and event photography—the
Directory Printing Program. Included in this revolutionary new program
is free software that designs a directory in a fraction of the time previously
needed—meaning less work and increased profits.
DPP is designed
to quickly and cost-effectively produce a printed directory for any type
of organization or event such as churches, corporations,
high school proms, sports leagues and retirement centers, just to name
a few.
The Directory Printing Program Software utilizes a unique
autoflow process, which takes all of the unnecessary work out of producing
a directory—all
of the design and proofing activities are completed at each portrait
session. Once the directory is complete, upload the file to Marathon
Press and the directories are shipped to your door just three short weeks
later.
Marathon will send you the software absolutely free.
Simply call Marathon Press at (800) 228-0629 and ask for the Directory
Printing Program
Kit.
You’ll receive a CD that contains everything you need to begin
creating your own church directory. Enclosed in the kit is a sample directory
and information explaining the Directory Printing Program in detail.
Included is complete pricing information for different sizes and quantities
of directory printing.
• Eastman Kodak Grows, But Continues in
Traditional Photography Segment
Eastman Kodak Company’s recent discussion with investors acknowledged
the ongoing decline of the worldwide film market and identified a variety
of growth opportunities in the digital arena—opportunities Kodak
is pursuing aggressively.
It also made it plain that for some time to
come, Kodak will continue to offer world-class photographic films, chemicals
and papers, both to
make money to fuel its new business ventures and to satisfy the still-substantial—if
shrinking—customer demand for them.
Far from opting out of the traditional photography segment, Kodak is
managing this portion of its business to generate the most value possible
for itself and its vast customer base. In the midst of digital’s
growing popularity, the company recognizes that most pictures today are
still captured on film.
