“Seeing the Light” is our first foray into the world of photography lighting contests. We were thrilled with the results. The three categories were Available Light, Studio and Small Flash. First, second and third place winners were selected in each category by our distinguished panel of judges: Chris LaLonde, Dave Montizambert and Louis Pang. “Seeing the Light” was sponsored by ProMark International. Welcome to the first in a series of photo contests inspired by our sister publication, PDN. Future contests this year include “Seeing the Light,” “Wedding Photo Contest” and “Take Your Best Shot,” the grand prize for which is the cover of Rangefinder’s November issue. We’re pretty excited about these new contests because they represent a new direction in our editorial content. It also allows us to feature new photographers and judges for these contests.
